New York Times best-selling author, Adam Leitman Bailey, has decided to donate 100% of his portion of the proceeds from his forthcoming children’s picture book, Home, to Building Foundations and Dreams.
Adam Leitman Bailey is a lifetime believer in giving back to the community and a fundamental leader in supporting and educating children within the community by providing college scholarships, facilitating youth mentoring, contributing to local charities, pro bono work, and much more. As a father of two and owner of several properties, Mr. Bailey is uniquely placed to write about homes in a way that is relatable to children.
Home (Building Foundations Publishing Company, 2018), takes children on a journey using their own eyes to visit many different places to live while providing a touching story about the importance of family over all else. It is the story about a young boy from a small apartment in a big city who dreams about other types of homes. The boy goes out on a colorful adventure to visit many different homes – from a large house in the suburbs to an igloo to a farmhouse – and meets families wherever he goes. The boy enjoys visiting each residence, but at the conclusion of his trip, he comes to a realization. It is not the size or type of home that makes it a good place to live. It is about the people you live with, family, that makes your home great.
To-date, Home has won a number of awards, including the Literary Classics International Book Award, the Mom’s Choice Award, and the eLit Book Award. Bailey’s first book, a guide for first-time homebuyers entitled Finding the Uncommon Deal, was also a New York Times Bestseller and winner of the National Association of Real Estate Editors “Best First Time Author Award.”
