Dear Mr. Bailey,

I was delighted to hear from Ms. Robin Roy that you had decided to make a very generous donation to our research fund at the Movement Disorders Division at Columbia-Presbyterian. Please understand that in today’s economic environment, with federal funding for clinical research in significant trouble, donations such as yours are absolutely vital to the success of the mission of our movement disorders center-to advance new strategies and research initiatives to diagnose, treat and, hopefully, cure patients with movement disorders.

Personally, I am deeply touched that you would make such a donation. Your gift will be instrumental in helping me to launch several projects related to the study of hyperkinetic movement disorders. These are projects that I have thought agiving backbout for some time, but up until now have been unable to investigate.

Please accept my very best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. If your schedule permits, I would be delighted to meet with you later this spring to fill you in on my research endeavors and future plans.

Best Wishes,
Steven Frucht, MD
Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology
