The New Milford Education Foundation (NMEF) is thrilled to honor Adam Leitman Bailey as our Humanitarian of the Year! The NMEF exists to enrich the educational lives of students through scholarships, innovation grants to teachers and gifts that enhance the quality of the school experience for students during their formative years. In conceptualizing its first gala, the NMEF believed that it was crucial to celebrate an alumnus who through his own motivation, initiative and sustained commitment embodies a humanitarian spirit that puts others first; someone who without external prompting possesses the will to elevate others selflessly.

Adam Leitman Bailey is that individual. He distinguishes himself beyond his family, beyond the demands of his profession, and draws upon his own experience as a young student and his connection to those who supported him to give back to an alma mater, which has given him so much in return. For the New Milford community, Mr. Bailey has become a symbol of an exemplary work ethic that other students can emulate, that if they persist in their dreams and aspirations, anything becomes possible, especially with a little help from your friends. He understands why it is in everyone’s best interests to invest in the future of children.

The New Milford Schools Family looks forward to recognizing Adam at its Spring Gala, “A Place to Grow,” and invites those who share his vision and commitment to join us on April 20, 2017, at Seasons in Bergen County’s Washington Township, NJ.
